How you get paid

Your earnings wallet shows what each trip will pay you, and releases it as the trip happens: a share at pickup, advances on longer trips, and the rest at the end.

  • Every credit, advance, charge and withdrawal has its own line with the trip and the reason.
  • A cancellation charge shows as its own line with the policy behind it, and you can dispute it.
  • We never take money from your bank account. A charge larger than your balance shows as an amount due.

What Vihara charges

One fee on a booking, the same for every owner. No monthly charge, no tiers, and nothing to choose: you pay only when you earn.

The traveller’s booking fee

10% of the fare, ₹99 to ₹1,500

Paid by the traveller on top of your fare. It never comes out of what you earn.

  • Shown to the traveller at checkout, with GST.
  • Refunded only when you cancel, never when they do.
  • The fee is a share of the whole trip amount, driver allowance included, and comes out at settlement. It is never added to the traveller’s price.
  • The fee you pay is the one in force when the traveller pays, whatever changes later. Each booking shows the fee and any offer applied to it.
  • Bank transfers arrive the next working day. Instant withdrawals cost 1% (at least ₹10, at most ₹100).

What do I need to join?

Your car’s RC, six photos of the car, your PAN and a bank account in your name. Permits and insurance you declare in the app.

How much does Vihara keep?

Vihara fee 10% of the trip, plus GST on the fee. Early sign-up offer: the fee is waived on your first bookings. Each booking shows the fee and the offer, and you keep the whole fare. Travellers pay their own booking fee (10% of the fare, at least ₹99 and at most ₹1,500); it never comes out of your fare.

Can someone else drive my car?

Yes. Add your drivers in the app; travellers see the driver’s name and photo before pickup.
